Adwords Makes Location Targeting Easier

AdWords now includes location targeting so you can target ads to very specific locations, which is perfect for professional services (medical, legal, accounting) companies that cater exclusively to local customers. Doctors, for example, can target geographic regions by actually drawing a map around the areas they want to send Google Ads to.

AdWords Location Targeting Tool makes it much easier for Google Advertisers to get more local detail — through maps and demographics — so they can add or exclude, customers nearby.

Adwords Advertisers can estimate the size of a local audience by way of “reach numbers,”  calculated from the number of users seen on Google properties. For example, Google says targeting the Clearwater Beach area could result in twice the reach of the city of Clearwater.

Google’s “Target a radius” feature now allows you to select additional locations within your radius target.
