For example, the word &#8220;Macgirl&#8221; is shown on this interface in a dozen different fonts. This is an awesome tool for designers because it lets you compare a piece of text in different fonts, before purchasing anything. You can set up albums for different clients when making logos. Or web sites. Or print ads.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Each font has a foundry and a history. For example, Dalliance Script is based on the elegant handwriting found on a map of a horrific battle between the Habsburg Coalition and France which took place at Ostrach, in southwest Germany, in 1799.  A roman style and flourishes, were added to turn Dalliance into a fully functional typeface family.
